The Fulbright Program aims to bring a little more knowledge, a little more reason, and a little more compassion into world affairs and thereby to increase the chance that nations will learn at last to live in peace and friendship.

The worldwide purpose of the Fulbright Program is to increase mutual respect and understanding between people of the United States and people of other countries through educational and cultural exchange.

The Fulbright Commission in Ireland annually awards grants for Irish citizens to study, research, or teach in the U.S. and for Americans to do the same in Ireland.

Fulbright TechImpact Scholar Awards are research grants for Irish citizens or E.U. citizens resident in the Republic of Ireland for three or more years to complete short-term, non-commercial projects and
research in the U.S. for a period of 2 weeks to 3 months. They are designed to respond to the potential and pace of ICT.
